The entire East Side of New York City is in a state of uproar - The Last President

"As the sun set Monday, the looting started once again across Manhattan as protests entered their fifth day in New York City. Police made several arrests, some inside Macy's flagship store in Herald Square as looters struck."

or

"The entire East Side of New York City is in a state of uproar. Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years."

Which was one reflects reality.........?

The first paragraph, published on ABC's website on June 2, 2020,  describes this year's looting and rioting in New York City.

The second  paragraph is fiction, published in The Last President or 1900, a surrealistic novel by Ingersoll Lockwood where Americans are protesting a corrupt election process while the president’s hometown of New York City is fearing the collapse of the republic after the transition of presidential power.

This classic was written in 1896, and this is what we wrote in 2018 when Cosimo Classics released a replica: "Does this book foresee Donald Trump as the last president of a republic as we know it? Is this a bizarre coincidence or prophetic? " Everyone should read this book and draw their own conclusions, which they can verify in the days to come as we are approaching next week's 2020 presidential elections, you can decide.

About the Author

Ingersoll Lockwood (1841-1918) was a New York lawyer, political writer, and novelist. We are happy to present his books The Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump, Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey, and *1900, or The Last President*.
